 5.   "You are not a reliable prosecution witness." - Who is the speaker? Who is the witness? Illustrate the significance of the statement in the context of the story?
Ans: - Here, the speaker is the Inspector who brought Sidda to Sivassanker's house for identification.

Leela, the five years old daughter of Mr and Mrs Sivasanker, is the witness here.

After being appointed in Mr Sivsanker's house as a domestic servant, Sidda became a very close friend of little Leela. Leela was very happy with Sidda and she always cherished their friendship. When the police to their house, Leela's parents accused and abused him for sealing the golden chain. At this Leela felt disgusted and told to release him as she wanted to play with him. When everyone accused Sidda of stealing the golden chain, it was only Leela who told them he had not taken it. At this, the Inspector said that she was not a reliable witness as she was very little. But at the end of the story, we find that Leela was right about Sidda.

 6.   Discuss the roles of that Sidda had to play in Sivsanker's house.

Ans: - When the Sivasanker family badly needed a servant for domestic works, Sidda came to them in search of a job. As Leela liked him very much, he was appointed in that vacant place as a servant. There he had to do a number of various works such as chopping woods, tending garden, washing clothes and run errands. But his primary work was to look after Leela and play with her. In return, Sidda was paid two meals a day and four rupees a month as his salary.
