William Wordsworth, who brought in the English Romantic movement with the publication of "Lyrical Ballads" in 1798, was born on 7th  April 1770 and breathed his last on 23rd April 1850. William Wordsworth was a contemporary poet of Samuel Taylor Coleridge. Wordsworth wrote much of his poetry in the Lake District in Cumbria, where he was born. He was a renowned English poet, playwright and actor.  His literary works consist of 39 plays, 154 Sonnets, 2 long narrative poems and few other verses. His most famous sonnets are Sonnet 18,  Sonnet 30Sonnet 33Sonnet 74Sonnet 104Sonnet 116 and the last but not the least Sonnet 130. Like Sonnets, the list of Shakespeare's famous play is also a long one, it includes "Macbeth""Hamlet""Antony and Cleopatra""Midsummer Night's Dream""Romeo and Juliet""Othello""The Tempest" and "As You Like It".

Oscar Fingal O'Flahertie Wills Wilde was born on November 16, 1854, and died on 30 November 1900. He was an Irish poet and playwright. In 1881 he published a collection of poems which got the admiration of only a limited people. Later in 1888, he came up with one of his most famous work named "The Happy Prince and Other Tale". It was a fairy tale. His only novel "The Picture of Dorian Grey" was published in 1891.  Some of his best-known poems are  "Her Voice""Flower of Love""A Vision""The Ballad of Reading Goal" etc.

Emily Dickinson, born on December 10, 1830, in Amherst, Massachusetts, is one of the earlier poets of America during the 19th century. She is an American poetess who died at the age of 56 on May 15 1886. Preferring a life solitude, Dickinson would fill her notebooks with her poetry and letters. Dickinson wrote almost 1,800 poems much of which was discovered by her sister, Lavinia Dickinson only after her death. Some of her famous works are "Because I could not Spot for Death""I'm Nobady! Who are You?""My Life had Stood a Loaded Gun" etc.

Rabindranath Tagore, who won the Nobel Prize in 1913 for his literary work "Gitanjali", was born on May 7, 1861, in Kolkata, India and died on August 7, 1941. He was a Bengali poet, philosopher, artist, composer, playwright and novelist. He is also the only person who is the writer of the National Anthem for two different country- Vande Mataram for India and Amar Sonar Bangla. Some of the most famous works are "Gitanjali" [ Song Offering], "Chitto Jetha Bhayshunyo" [Where the Mind is without Fear], "Birpurush""Jete Nahi Debo" etc.
